RULES 1. Students
will show respect for the teacher’s right to teach and the student’s
right to learn. 2. Students
will keep food, drink, gum, and grooming aids out of the classroom. 3. Students
will stay in their seats and talk only with permission. 4. Students
will keep hands, feet, and other objects to themselves. 5. Students
will come to class prepared and on time. Restroom privileges occur
according to team policy.
PROCEDURES
ENTERING THE CLASSROOM Upon entering the room you are
expected to be seated quietly with all required materials (text,
workbook, notebook, pencils, calculator, highlighter, graph paper and
other stated materials).
1. Record your
objective and assignments in your agenda book. 2. Put the
proper heading on your papers.

bellwork. 4. Be prepared
for the next part of class. 5. Have your notebook
open to your homework and place it on the upper right hand corner of
your desk. 6. If tardy upon
entering the classroom, sign the late log and a conduct mark will
be given.
ABSENT FROM CLASS 1. Locate the
green make-up folder on the table. 2. Record all
the make-up assignments including the objective, journal entry,
bellwork, classwork, and homework in your agenda.
According to the county framework
stated in your handbook, you will have one day per each day absent from
class to complete and turn in all missed work. Zeros will be
given for work that is not completed and turned in during this time
frame. GRADING POLICY Tests 50% Tests consist of tests, projects,
and notebooks. 1. Notebook
You will need a black binder with dividers for
mathematics/algebra only.
Label the sections as follows:
Journals
Bellwork
Notes/Classwork
Homework
Graded Papers (Parents please
leave all graded papers in the notebook.)
***Your notebook will
be graded each nine weeks for a test grade*** 2. Students will
be given advanced notification of test dates. Please be aware
that all tests are cumulative.
(vocabulary tests 100 points / skill tests 200
points / 9 weeks and semester exams are weighted more than standard
tests) 3. Each nine
weeks students will be assigned one or two projects.
Classwork/Quizzes 40% Classwork consists of quizzes
(both announced and unannounced), daily grades, agenda, participation,
bellwork, definitions, and journals.
Homework 10% Homework is used to practice,
reinforce, and explore skills. Incomplete homework is never
accepted. However, all homework is to be
completed. All work must be shown. Answers only will not be
accepted.
Students are strongly encouraged
to find a study buddy. Get his/her phone number. This is a
person that can be called for assistance. Make a wise
choice.
ALL WORK IS TO BE DONE IN
PENCIL. POINTS WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR OTHER WRITING INSTRUMENTS.
